My Domestic Architecture

I would like to say that I had no idea that inside a home there is domestic architecture. I learned that there is architecture in many places. As I focus on the interior space in this picture I see the division between the outside of the house and inside. There is a door that allows you to go outside of the house. There is also a lovely window that allows sunlight to come through when the blinds are open. This window is a full glass window that is designed in thick squares. The window does not fully allow you to see clearly outside nor can others clearly look inside. The design of the glass only allows sunlight. The window does not have an opening.

The function of this area is a place where visitors can sit and feel comfortable in watching television or just to enjoy the dim sunlight that is coming in through the window. This area is used for spending time with loved ones or even alone time to just read a book on the couch and lounge around. This is my favorite place in my home because of the dim lighting throughout the day, and this is where my little one and I spend most of our time together. The area is comfortable to us because we are able to enjoy lounging in the living room and be able to relax and enjoy the calm lighting. At times we enjoy opening the door and feeling the cool breeze come through the front area of our home.

This is the place in our home that we feel extremely comfortable and open to do as we please, watch shows, play card games on the little table, color, or even paint at times.

Work area

The second place I spend a lot of my time regularly is in my office of work. It is shaped in an L shaped cubicle with two long shelves, and a couple of cabinets. The area is full of gray and has a large counter space to work in. The area is a nice size area to do work in but the lighting in the area does not have any direct sunlight. Having direct sunlight would give me a sense of fresh air. Since I do not have direct sunlight in my work area it does many times of the day feel gloomy. I enjoy my living room much more due to the fact of the sunlight that shines in the window, and being able to open the front door and receive fresh air. The spaces are much different from one another but these are the two places I spend most of my time.
